Jason Royal Design, Website

This website is a prime example of the self-automation my sites hold as an advantage over many websites created right now. When I post a new design into my portfolio, I simply write a short description, choose a category (web, print, or branding), and add a few images in various sizes. When I post, it automatically shows my newest work on the home page and categorizes it into its category’s page. It was created using a made-from-scratch interface over a Wordpress framework. It has the capability for comments and endless interaction tools such as Facebook/Twitter integration, calendars, etc. Because it is a portfolio, though, less is more.

Royal Design: autobiographical article

This autobiographical article demonstrates the use of my new logo. It describes my approach to graphic design, and it outlines the benefits of my self-automating websites and how I go about creating them.

Gloriosus et Liber

The latin term “Gloriosus et Liber” directly translates to “Glorious and Free” in English, so I though a logo for my graphic design would be perfect. The whole project takes the form of an R to represent my surname, and the images that make it up have many meanings. A lion is perched proudly upon the circular family crest, and making up the left side of the image is a Corinthian column that transforms into a metropolitan skyscraper, showing that my style of design is very modern and urban. A brass flourish shows that my style of design is very classic, no matter the era.

Don’t be Blinded by your Cravings

Adult-onset Diabetes is a preventable condition caused by poor food choice that is affecting a younger demographic than ever before, and Hispanics are one of the most vulnerable groups to losing eyesight to this fatal disease. This image presents a jar of queso as having the power to blind us. It demonstrates that we have the power to avoid dangerous glucose levels, blindness, and other complications costing 44 billion dollars every year to treat. The woman portrayed is glamorous and stylish, creating an irony when juxtaposed with an unattractive eye patch consisting of her poisonous indulgence.
